T.H.E. HOSKEY EXPERIENCE
An Elevated Portrait Experience — Designed Around You
At T.H.E. Portrait Studio369, photography is not treated as a transaction. It is an experience—thoughtfully designed, intentionally guided, and centered on who you are.
The Hoskey Experience was created for clients who value quality, privacy, and imagery that feels timeless rather than trendy. From your first inquiry to the moment you view your final portraits, every detail is handled with care, professionalism, and respect. This is not about rushing through a session. This is about creating portraits that feel refined, confident, and enduring.
What Makes This Experience Different
Many clients come to us saying the same thing: “I’m not comfortable in front of the camera.”
That’s exactly why this experience exists.
You will never be expected to know how to pose, where to stand, or how to look. Every session is fully guided, relaxed, and unrushed. We take time to understand your vision, your concerns, and how you want to feel when you see your images.
Specializing in melanin-rich skin tones, we use intentional lighting and refined techniques to ensure your skin, features, and expression are honored—not overexposed, flattened, or overlooked.
The Hoskey Experience — Step by Step
Step 1: Inquiry and Consultation Request
Your experience begins by submitting a consultation request and telling us what you would like your portraits to accomplish.
We review your session type, preferred date, intended use, location needs, and overall vision before recommending the appropriate next step.
Submitting an inquiry or preferred date does not automatically reserve a session.
- Reserve Your Session
Step 2: Client Discovery and Intake
You will complete a session-specific intake form that allows us to understand your goals, preferences, comfort level, wardrobe ideas, intended image usage, and must-have photographs.
The information you provide becomes the foundation of your personalized planning process and helps us determine how to serve you with intention.
Step 3: Consultation and Collection Recommendation
During your consultation, we discuss your vision, location, styling, image needs, timing, and investment.
Based on that conversation, the studio recommends the portrait collection or custom proposal that best supports your goals. This ensures you are not selecting a session based only on time or price, but on what you actually need the final portraits to accomplish.
Step 4: Agreement, Invoice, and Retainer
Once you approve your collection or custom proposal, you will receive the required photography agreement and invoice.
-Your preferred date is not officially reserved until:
-The photography agreement has been signed
-The required retainer has been received
-Any session-specific requirements have been completed
The remaining balance and payment due date will be clearly stated before your session is confirmed.
Step 5: Strategy and The Portrait Experience
Once your session is officially booked, we continue developing your personalized planning workbook, The Portrait Experience.
Depending on your session, it may include:
-Your portrait or brand story
-Creative vision and inspiration
-Color palette
-Wardrobe direction
-Hair and makeup guidance
-Accessories, products, and props
-Location or rental-studio recommendations
-Session timeline
-Must-have image priorities
-Final preparation checklist
This evolving guide keeps the client, photographer, stylist, makeup artist, and other approved creative partners aligned throughout the planning process.
Step 6: Final Preparation and Production Planning
Before the session, we confirm the final details needed for a smooth production.
This may include:
-Final wardrobe selections
-Location or rental-studio confirmation
-Arrival and parking instructions
-Hair and makeup timing
-Prop and product preparation
-Participant or team-member coordination
-Weather or backup planning
-Remaining payment requirements
You will know where to arrive, what to bring, and what to expect before the camera comes out.
Step 7: Your Guided Portrait Session
Your session is professionally directed from beginning to end.
You are not expected to know how to pose, position your hands, control your expression, or find your best angle. You will receive clear posing, expression, and movement guidance throughout the experience.
Lighting is selected intentionally to preserve dimension, detail, and accurate skin tone—particularly for melanin-rich complexions.
Our goal is to create an environment where you feel prepared, respected, and confidently represented.
Step 8: Image Curation and Proof Gallery
After your session, the studio carefully reviews and curates the strongest photographs.
When your collection includes client image selection, you will receive a private proofing gallery. You will choose your favorites and notify the studio when your selections are complete.
Proof images are provided for selection purposes and are not the final retouched files.
Step 9: Professional Retouching and Final Delivery
Once your selections are confirmed, the chosen photographs move into professional retouching and final preparation.
Retouching is designed to create a polished result while preserving natural skin texture, identity, and authentic features.
Your completed portraits are delivered through a secure online gallery. Depending on your collection, you may also have the opportunity to purchase additional photographs, prints, albums, canvases, or wall artwork.
Turnaround varies by session type and begins after final selections, required payments, and remaining approvals have been completed.
Step 10: Review, Referral, and Continuing the Relationship
After delivery, you will be invited to share your experience through a studio review.
Your feedback helps future clients understand the level of preparation, direction, and care they can expect from T.H.E. Portrait Studio369.
We may also follow up regarding artwork, referral opportunities, updated headshots, seasonal portraits, annual branding needs, or your next portrait experience.
This final step closes the experience with intention, connection, and gratitude.
